I’ve been a big fan of personal publishing from even before there was the internets 
The second idea that captured my attention was the delivery to me of custom news on topics in which I am interested. I’ve tried rss, subscriptions, aggregation, friendfeed etc. without satisfaction. They work, but miss my target of easy to understand and use, customization, and publication. I use blogs and websites while I search for the holy grail of personalized news.
